WHY: The wildlife refuge is just that, a "refuge." It serves a critical role in nature, and provides numerous benefits to human populations. However, our chief focus tonight is one main benefit - great birding.  The geographic location, and the geological features of Anahuac, make for an ideal bird habitat. And at just a short drive from Houston, it is a "must see" destination for any Houston area bird enthusiast.

HOW: Show up and  enjoy! No advance registration required. No attendance fee.

The Friends of Anahuac Refuge was established in 1997 as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization based in Anahuac, TX.
