Community Outreach

FOAR participates in several events each year where we reach out beyond the refuge borders.  In the past several years, we have done outreach locally, across the state, and even at national events.  At these events, we raise awareness of the refuge by discussing the wildlife and habitat found on Anahuac NWR and the need to support them.  Our goal is for the public to support the Refuge by simply visiting it and talking about it with family, friends, and elected officials.  The best way for the public to get involved in these is to join FOAR.

We are a member-driven, non-profit organization that relies on our members and public support. Outreach is an essential part of our organization.  Check out our outreach calendar throughout the year to see the events where we will be participating.
