FRIENDS OF ANAHUAC REFUGE
Monthly board typically take place on the second Tuesday of the month at the Texas Chenier Plain Refuge Complex building north of Anahuac on FM 563.

Texas Gatorfest is an annual festival that takes place in Anahuac each September. It is around the short alligator hunting season in Chambers County. FOAR hosts a table in the education tent to speak with the public about the refuge and organization.

The Winnie Rice Fesitval is an annual festival that takes place in Winnie, TX each October. The event is around the time rice is harvested in and around Chambers County. FOAR hosts a table in the education tent to speak with the public about the refuge and organization.
The Friends of Anahuac Refuge was established in 1997 as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization based in Anahuac, TX.
